Five outstanding alumni of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences were chosen for the University of Georgia’s 2026 Class of 40 Under 40, highlighting dozens of UGA’s brightest young alumni.

Each year, the university celebrates 40 alumni under the age of 40 who are leading the pack in their industries in communities. As a group, these members are recognized based on their personal, professional, and philanthropic achievements.

This year, 13% of the cohort graduated with a major, minor, or certificate housed in the arts and sciences. From music therapy and nonprofit management to finance and medicine, they showcase how a multidisciplinary education from UGA is empowering the next generation of risk-takers and culture-shapers. In September, all honorees will be welcomed back to campus for a celebratory luncheon.

“The University of Georgia’s 40 Under 40 recognition reflects the extraordinary impact of our alumni community and the enduring value of a Franklin education,” said Anna Stenport, dean of Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. “These emerging leaders exemplify innovation, service, and a commitment to shaping a better future—demonstrating how the arts and sciences prepare graduates to lead with purpose across disciplines and industries.”

The members of UGA’s 40 Under 40 with a Franklin major, minor, or certificate are:

Lizzie DiGiovanni (BA Music Therapy ‘20), founder and creative director at Music Therapy Augmented

Hillyer Jennings (BS Finance; Music Minor; Music Business Certificate ‘09), partner in mergers and acquisitions at King & Spalding
