Franklin Visiting Scholar Lecture

The Franklin Visiting Scholars program, sponsored by the Franklin College Office of Inclusion & Diversity Leadership, offers departments within the Franklin College the opportunity to nominate scholars for 2-4 day visits in the fall and spring to deliver a colloquium, meet with faculty and students, and deliver a guest lecture to a class. Today at 3 p.m. in room 248 of the Miller Learning Center, UGA welcomes Franklin Visiting Scholar Enrique Neblett, Jr., from UNC, Chapel Hill:

Dr. Neblett will present "Racism-Related Stress and Mental Health: A Study of African American College Students During the Transition to Young Adulthood." Neblett is an associate professor of psychology and lab director of the African American Youth Wellness Laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Neblett's visit is also sponsored by the Owens Institute for Behavioral Research. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
