Exhibition: "Crowned with Glory and Immortality"

Through Feb. 28. "Crowned with Glory and Immortality" will feature ornamental needlework of Georgia and investigate both feminine skills and girlhood education in the state.

This exhibition will coincide with the eighth Henry D. Green Symposium of the Decorative Arts and will be accompanied by an exhibition catalogue published by the museum.

Spotlight on the Arts Opening Celebration

The opening celebration for the 2015 Spotlight on the Arts festival will feature a sampler of student music, dance and dramatic performances, as well as opening remarks from University System of Georgia Chancellor Hank Huckaby and UGA President Jere W. Morehead. A reception will be held at the Lamar Dodd School of Art following the celebration. Sponsored by the UGA Arts Council.

University Theatre Studio Series

Elizabeth Packard's husband commits her to an asylum, without proof of insanity, in 1861. Based on historical events, Emily Mann’s play tells of one woman’s struggle to right a system gone wrong in this winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays Award. Tickets are $12, $7 for students. The show will be performed Oct. 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 at 8 p.m. An additional matinee performance will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 18.
