State Ballet Theatre of Russia: "Tchaikovsky Spectacular"

Known internationally as one of Russia's leading companies, The State Ballet Theatre of Russia has thrilled Athens audiences in past visits with performances ranging from "Swan Lake" to "Romeo and Juliet" to "Cinderella." Its dancers include the prize winners of numerous Russian and international competitions. Now the acclaimed company brings its Tchaikovsky Spectacular to the Fine Arts Theatre stage in a glittering production filled with dazzling choreography, lavish sets, beautiful costumes, and some of Tchaikovsky’s most beautiful music.

2015 Pi Alpha Xi Poinsettia Sale

PoinsettiaSale2015_GroupShotsmall-250x167.jpgThe UGA chapter of the horticultural honor society Pi Alpha Xi will be selling poinsettias to help fund the club's operations over the next year.  

Honor society members will provide free early delivery on all orders over 15 plants. 

The poinsettias come in two varieties: a traditional red and a crinkly leafed, red rosette variety. Gift-wrapped poinsettias will be $12, and plain poinsettias will be $10. 

Sustainable UGA Semester in Review

The fall 2015 Sustainable UGA Semester in Review celebrates people, programs, activities and academic courses that are creating a culture of sustainability at UGA. The program includes brief presentations from Office of Sustainability interns, posters and table displays from UGA classes, the announcement of 2016 Campus Sustainability Grant winners, light lunch fare and opportunities for networking.

Classic City Band Evening Holiday Concert

The Classic City Band will perform holiday music during an evening concert in the festively-decorated conservatory.

The concert band’s repertoire includes all types of music: marches, jazz, pop, show tunes, excerpts from operas and musicals, as well as traditional and classical selections. We normally perform 6-7 concerts a year, including Memorial Day, Christmas, and Fourth of July programs.
