The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s annual December performances of J. S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos is a New York City holiday tradition that The New York Times calls “brimming with life.” It is a rare opportunity to enjoy all six of the concertos on the same concert performed by the unmatched artists of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

The Sustainable UGA Semester in Review celebrates people, programs, activities and academic courses that create a culture of sustainability at UGA.The program includes brief presentations from Office of Sustainability interns, posters and table displays from UGA classes, the announcement of 2017 Campus Sustainability Grant winners, light lunch fare and opportunities for networking. Opening comments will be provided by John R. Seydel, director of sustainability for the city of Atlanta.

Dialogues in Diversity Lunchtime Series

This Dialogues in Diversity Lunchtime Series will focus on mental health disparities in underserved student populations and the risk and resilience factors that contribute to and protect against negative outcomes for student success.

Young Choreographer''s Series: Senior Exit and Emerging Choreographers Concert includes choreography and production by graduating senior dance majors completing their senior projects for the BFA degree and by second- and third-year dance majors. These student choreographic works display a variety of different dance techniques and styles, expressing their own uniqueness and flair, and are performed by dance majors and minors selected by audition. Tickets are $8 for students and senior citizens/$12 for general admission. Tickets available at Tate, PAC, pac.uga.edu and at the door. 

The Annual Gregory Distinguished Lecture series presents Craig Steven Wilder, the author of Ebony and Ivy: Race, Slavery, and the Troubled History of America's Universities (2014). His talk will be on "Slavery and Universities in Revolutionary America".

The UGA Holiday Concerts have become an Athens tradition. The UGA Symphony Orchestra, choirs, and other ensembles will celebrate this joyous season with a variety of music. Concerts scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
