Senior Exit & Emerging Choreographers Concert

Young Choreographer''s Series: Senior Exit and Emerging Choreographers Concert includes choreography and production by graduating senior dance majors completing their senior projects for the BFA degree and by second- and third-year dance majors. These student choreographic works display a variety of different dance techniques and styles, expressing their own uniqueness and flair, and are performed by dance majors and minors selected by audition. Tickets are $8 for students and senior citizens/$12 for general admission. Tickets available at Tate, PAC, pac.uga.edu and at the door. 

Concert: Georgia Brass Band

Hailed as a “major force in the North American brass banding world,” the Georgia Brass Band has entertained audiences with its dynamic style of music making since its founding in 1999. With free admission, this is a concert the entire family can enjoy together. For more information, visit: pac.uga.edu

 

TEDxUGA Student Idea Showcase

The SIS, or Student Idea Showcase, is an initiative of the TEDxUGA Student Council. Currently enrolled students at the University of Georgia have the chance to enter the showcase and share their “ideas worth spreading” in a TED-like environment. The goal of the SIS is to foster the exploration and sharing of ideas amongst UGA students and serve as the platform for which student presenters are chosen for the TEDxUGA stage.

Hugh Hodgson Faculty Series: Jaclyn Hartenberger

Known for innovative and exciting programs, Jaclyn Hartenberger, conductor, associate director of bands and assistant professor of music, presents her first Hugh Hodgson Faculty Series recital with the help of several chamber ensembles. Hartenberger performs globally, from South America to the Czech Republic, as an in-demand conductor. $12, $6 (student/child)
