Once again, UGA’s online degree programs rank among the nation’s best. According to a recent U.S. News & World Report, UGA took the No. 18 spot overall, maintaining its national place in the top 20 for 10 consecutive years. Franklin College of Arts and Sciences offers four online graduate degrees, including the highly regarded M.A.Ed. in music education that has been enhancing the careers of musicians for over a decade. Three new master’s programs launched in 2025, in applied data science, art education, and environmental geology.

As UGA has continued to increase its online portfolio, the addition of Franklin’s new programs gives even more students opportunities to deepen their knowledge and expand their professional lives through flexible pathways.

“These rankings reflect our commitment to quality and student success across all modalities,” said Andy Borst, UGA’s vice provost for academic enrollment. “UGA’s online programs expand opportunities for Georgia residents at every stage of life while maintaining the academic rigor expected at UGA.”
