  • Client Services

    The Client Services staff at the Franklin College Office of Information Technology is dedicated to providing outstanding technical support for faculty and staff within the college. Client Services fixes what’s broken, from the computer that just won’t start to the program that keeps giving you errors. Our team helps build new solutions; we work with faculty and staff to order technology equipment for departmental and classroom use. To keep everything running smoothly, Client Services offers training and documentation on a wide variety of subjects including e-mail, operating systems, Microsoft Office, and classroom equipment.

  • Systems Administration & Management

    The Franklin College Systems Administration and Management (SAM) Team is responsible for the administration, provisioning, and maintenance of the core systems necessary for the College to operate smoothly. The team is comprised of two primary divisions including Systems Provisioning and Infrastructure.

  • Web Services

    The Web Services team is available to help the Franklin community make use of the versatility of the internet. The team can provide consultation and design services for creating, maintaining, or updating websites that best represent Franklin units and are up-to-date and accessible to many different users across the UGA campus and outside the campus. The team can also create customized applications for a variety of purposes that can be accessed securely from wherever the users may be.

  • Instructional Technology

    Information regarding training and support for current instructional technologies including eLearning Commons, podcasting, and clickers, as well as video conferencing and classroom audio-visual equipment.

  • Administrative Services

    OIT offers administrative services such as handling logistics for equipment allocations, administering the college-level student technology fee allocation, and processing off-campus inventory equipment forms. Franklin departments may contact the Assistant Dean for Information Technology to discuss IT matters such as policies, major projects, and the classification and compensation of IT professionals. The Administrative Specialist in OIT will assist departments with use of UGAmart and other aspects of IT purchasing.
