Blackboard Collaborate (Bb Collaborate) is a web-conferencing system that allows users to meet, present, and collaborate in a virtual room.

Benefits of Service: 

Blackboard Collaborate platform offers a wide variety collaboration capabilities. From live instruction to virtual office hours, from voice authoring to hosting remote guest speakers--in most cases, if it can be done in a real room, it can be done in a Bb Collaborate room!

Participants can:

  • Have discussions using voice or text chat
  • Write, draw, and paste images on a shared whiteboard
  • Present materials imported from powerpoint
  • Conduct polls and give quizzes
  • Share web pages, video, multimedia
  • View and share documents and applications
  • Record sessions for later viewing

For Franklin College faculty and staff support, contact the Franklin OIT Helpdesk.

For student support or for users needing Bb Collaborate rooms set up external to eLC, contact the EITS Help Desk.

Current Rates for Service: 
  • Bb Collaborate is a free service to all UGA faculty, staff, and students.  
  • Franklin OIT provides free support to Franklin College faculty and staff.  
  • EITS provides free support to all UGA faculty, staff, and students.
